AVA Marine is a professional marine surveying and cargo inspection organization that serves the shipping industry. The company is owned and operated by a Chief Engineer with a Class One Certificate of Competency (Motor) and is a certified Marine Engineering Officer under STCW 95 from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency in the UK. With 10 years of sea experience and over 20 years in marine surveying, the owner brings a wealth of knowledge to the organization.

As a marine surveying and consultancy organization, our maritime expertise covers a comprehensive range of survey and inspection activities. This includes draught surveys, grain loading supervision while acting as port captains, cargo securing and lashing, as well as multi-million-dollar project cargo risk assessments. We also handle marine claims, salvage operations, technical surveys, P&I condition surveys, and Hull & Machinery (H&M) surveys.

Additionally, we provide survey services for pleasure boats to local boat owners. We serve a diverse range of clients, including prospective boat buyers, current owners, insurers, and brokers, and we assess vessels of all sizes — from compact powerboats and sailing dinghies to much larger sailboats and yachts.

We are available 24/7 via phone or email to discuss your marine or boat survey requirements. Once confirmed, we will promptly schedule the survey and issue an appointment. Our formal survey report is normally delivered within five working days of completion, with expedited delivery available upon request.
